ALAMO TOWNSHIP RECYCLING:

Plastic Bag Recycling Update: Best Way Disposal is no longer able to accept plastic bags at their transfer station.

Recycling days are the second Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. except JANUARY AND FEBRUARY.  There is no recycling these months due to the weather.

On regular recycling Saturdays we accept 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 PLASTIC, CLEAR CLEAN GLASS JARS and BOTTLES, plus CANS, MIXED PAPERS and NEWSPAPERS.  NO COLORED GLASS!

Please keep the newspaper separate from the rest of your mixed paper, as the Boy Scouts sell the newspapers.

WE HAVE TOWNSHIP CLEAN UP DAYS THE SECOND SATURDAY OF MAY (9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) AND OCTOBER (9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.).  On the Spring and Fall General Clean Up Saturdays we can take just about anything as long as it is not hazardous waste like motor oil, car batteries, appliances with freon unless tagged, oil-based and latex paint, no cement, and NO TIRES!
